Founded in 2015 the app started with payment solutions and soon set foot into financial services and wealth management. The company’s current value is at $1.7B and is funded by 4 investors, Tiger Global Management and Tencent being the most recent investors.
The company is looking for strong individuals to scale up and grow its Digital Marketing initiatives with this role.
Responsibilities:
● Will be responsible to build a strong Digital Marketing strategy and help the brand
reach its target audience at scale to deliver growth at optimum costs.
● Measure and report the performance of all digital marketing campaigns and
assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
● Identify trends and insights and optimize spend and performance based on the
insights and brainstorm new and creative growth strategies.
● Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion campaigns. Drive a
mindset of building a pipeline of multiple experiments in digital marketing to drive
growth.
● Utilize the analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across
multiple channels and customer touchpoints.
● Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for
adoption where appropriate.
● Build vital analytics insights to influence key business strategy.
● Should be able to build agile capabilities in the digital marketing portfolio to be
able to meet dynamic business needs.
● Critical Requirement - Drive the Marketing-Tech roadmap in coordination with
the Tech-Product team and work closely with internal teams.
● Critical Requirement – Be able to engender effective measurement and
optimization frameworks for all efforts on brand digital for PhonePe (including
Marketing Mix Modeling, Multi-Touch Attribution, and Lift) Planning & Ops
● Ownership of the complete brand digital marketing budget for PhonePe. Build
channel and category-level plans and work with channel managers and partners
to deliver on KPIs
● Planning, analyzing, and optimizing budget vs actual performance across all
channels and platforms
● Benchmarking And New Initiatives
● Benchmark metrics, creatives, w.r.t to compete and inculcate insights into
channels.
● Point of contact for all MarTech processes feed-related requirements and
Creative requirements
● Lead special initiatives like Brand launches, and new channel experiments and
create a process around the same. Analyze the performance and scale basis
feasibility.
● Introduce and train the Team on various tools like AppsFlyer, Clevertap, and
AppAnnie for analysis
Ideal Candidate
● 10+ years of experience and deep knowledge of the Digital eco-system, including
hands-on experience with Social, Display, Video, Programmatic buying, Google
Analytics/DV360, DCM and FB Ads Manager, and dashboarding
● Experience handling media budgets over 100cr
● Experience working in FMCG, consumer- tech companies is a plus
● Solid understanding of cross-channel brand-focused digital marketing and
technologies (e.g. digital, social, publishers, influencers, and content marketing).
● Should have handled media budgets at scale
● Experience having worked on financial/tech brands is a plus
● Exceptional skills in managing digital marketing activities within fixed deadlines,
budgets, and requirements.
● Ability to handle pressure, juggle priorities, and thrive in an exceptionally fast-
paced environment.
● Great presentation and communication skills in English (essential)
Mandatory Traits ( Non -negotiables )
1. Should have worked in D2C ( consumer tech ) OR Fintech brands for min 5 - 7 years
2. Should have working experience in >80% of Digital Marketing functions
3. Should have Experience handling media budgets over 100cr
Preferred traits
1. Led marketing function or been part of the marketing function at Legacy organisations or Unicorn Brands
2. The ideal candidate would have experience leading omnichannel Digital Marketing of a top B2C brand in India.
