Brand Overview
A fast growing D2C haircare brand in India, focused on building clean, salon quality products formulated specifically for Indian hair types, climate, and usage habits. The brand operates at the intersection of culture, performance, and storytelling, with a strong emphasis on creating distinctive brand assets and long term brand equity.
Role Overview
We are hiring a Brand Strategist to own and evolve the core brand platform and shape how the brand shows up across culture, campaigns, and product narratives. This role sits at the center of strategy and execution and requires strong conceptual thinking, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to translate insights into clear brand direction.
Key Responsibilities
Own and evolve the core brand platform including identity, tone of voice, distinctive assets, and category or sub brand structures
Define the cultural spaces the brand participates in and build brand pillars that guide launches and communication
Create sharp and inspiring briefs for campaigns, product drops, launches, and brand activations
Plan and drive the brand and marketing roadmap across key moments and launches
Collaborate closely with creative, media, product, and growth teams to bring brand ideas to life across touchpoints
Track brand health using consumer insights and brand metrics to continuously refine strategy
Translate consumer and cultural insights into compelling brand stories and growth opportunities
Mandatory Skills
3–6 years of experience across brand strategy, marketing, or growth roles, preferably in D2C, consumer tech, beauty, or personal care
Strong conceptual thinking with the ability to build and evolve brand platforms
Ability to translate consumer and cultural insights into clear brand direction and actionable briefs
Experience working closely with creative teams, agencies, and cross functional stakeholders
Structured thinker who is also culturally tuned in and aware of trends, context, and consumer behavior
Strong interest in brand building, culture, and product led storytelling
Comfortable owning projects end to end in fast paced, high ownership environments
Strong communication and collaboration skills across creative and business teams
Preferred Traits
Has demonstrated experience building or scaling consumer brands
Balances strategic clarity with execution depth
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and shaping narratives from zero to one
Brings strong taste, storytelling ability, and cultural intuitions
