Role Overview
As a Retail Marketer, you will be responsible for designing and executing the strategy that drives store footfall, conversion, and revenue growth across our retail network.
This role combines strategic planning with high-impact on-ground execution. You will build the annual retail marketing plan, run high-impact activations, and continuously optimize initiatives based on measurable outcomes.
You will work closely with Brand, Performance Marketing, and Retail Operations teams to ensure that every campaign, event, or activation ultimately drives store traffic and revenue growth.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building high-impact retail experiences, measurable marketing initiatives, and scalable growth playbooks.
Job Description
1. Retail Marketing Strategy & Planning
Develop and drive the annual retail marketing plan across all stores
Identify and prioritize initiatives that drive footfall, trial, and store-level revenue growth
Allocate and optimize the retail marketing budget across activations, collaborations, and campaigns
Build scalable frameworks that stores can repeat and improve
Track ROI for all retail marketing initiatives and optimise for performance.
2. Footfall & Store Growth
Design and execute initiatives that increase high-intent footfall and customer acquisition, including:
Mall collaborations and in-mall marketing
Sampling counters and experiential activations
Catchment marketing and local partnerships
Store launch marketing campaigns
3. Retail Activations & Experiences
Lead BTL initiatives, sampling drives, and in-store experiential events
Organize kiosk-led workshops and brand experiences
Drive community engagement activities around stores
Execute influencer-led retail collaborations
Plan seasonal and festive retail campaigns
4. Visual merchandising
Develop and implement store-level visual merchandising to ensure a consistent MYOP brand experience across all retail locations.
Collaborate with Brand and Creative teams to translate campaign concepts into impactful in-store displays.
Audit stores regularly to maintain VM consistency, quality, and brand guidelines across the retail network.
Job Requirements/Mandatory Skills
4–7 years of experience in retail marketing, experiential marketing or visual merchandising in retail-led categories
Experience with consumer brands, lifestyle brands, or retail-driven businesses
Strong understanding of footfall generation, on-ground activations, and retail growth levers
Ability to translate marketing activities into clear business outcomes
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, founder-led environment
Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
Non-Negotiables
Willingness to relocate to Calicut, Kerala
Prior experience with national or metro-market brands
Demonstrated ownership mindset (not execution-only roles)
Ability to work on-ground with teams, not remotely manage
Comfort working in a bootstrapped, performance-oriented setup
