Role overview:
We are looking for a Editorial Lead to own how the company shows up in India and Southeast Asia with founders, operators, media, and the broader technology and investing ecosystem.

This is a hands-on, senior individual contributor role today, with the potential to build and manage a small (1–2 person) ops team over time.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Editorial & Content Leadership
You will be the editorial brain of the firm in the region.
• Own the firm’s business content and thought leadership agenda, including firm narratives and broader ecosystem storytelling.
• Define and run a unified editorial strategy across formats such as essays, op-eds, long-form pieces, newsletters, reports, founder stories, social content, podcasts, events and other experiments.
• Write and edit content on founders, technology, markets and AI for a sophisticated audience.
• Maintain a very high editorial bar that is substance-first, medium-agnostic, with a consistent and credible voice.
• Build and manage a small network of writers, editors, designers and agencies to scale output without diluting quality.
2. Communications & Media Strategy
You will lead how the firm engages with the outside world.
• Lead communications and PR strategy across India and Southeast Asia, and support select global initiatives.
• Handle reactive PR on sensitive and high-impact topics including funding announcements, portfolio stories, thought leadership, ecosystem commentary, op-eds, interviews and crisis communication.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with tier-1 business and technology journalists in India, and extend coverage into Southeast Asia and global media where relevant.
• Act as a strategic communications advisor to portfolio founders by refining company and founder narratives, preparing them for media and public storytelling moments, and supporting communications around major milestones.
3. Cross-Functional Partner
You will be plugged into key decisions and conversations.
• Work closely with investment teams and leadership to translate theses, fund launches and portfolio milestones into clear, compelling narratives.
• Partner with People and leadership to position the firm as an employer of choice for top talent.
• Create simple playbooks, frameworks and templates that standardize communications and storytelling across the firm and its portfolio.
4. Measurement & Impact
You will bring structure and accountability to storytelling.
• Define and track core metrics such as media share of voice, quality of coverage, message pull-through, narrative consistency, and content engagement and reach across key channels.
• Use data and qualitative feedback to sharpen editorial priorities and channel mix.
• Provide regular, honest updates to leadership on what is working, what is not, and where to double down.
Ideal candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who can think like an editor and operate like a strategic communicator.
• 6–12 years in editorial leadership, communications or business journalism, with exposure to venture capital, private equity, investing, finance or technology
• Global exposure across markets, brands or cross-border narratives, with experience working with international teams
• Strong grounding in journalism, publishing or editorial roles
• Deep understanding of finance, investing or technology, with the ability to translate complexity into sharp, accessible narratives
• Proven ability to write and shape clear, analytical, persuasive content for senior audiences such as founders, CXOs and leadership teams
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a high editorial bar
• Strong media relationships across India’s business and tech press; Southeast Asia or global exposure is a plus
• Hands-on, independent operator comfortable managing agencies, freelancers and internal teams, and open to building a small team
• Experience advising senior stakeholders on storytelling, positioning, media strategy and reputation
• High intellectual curiosity, especially around technology and AI, with strong critical thinking
• Strong academic background, with an MBA from a top-tier institution or equivalent experience in journalism, publishing or strategy
